Sunset at Albert Park - Day 30
A panorama stitched from HDR photos. I'm really happy with the way this one came out.

Albert Park Lake was super busy with people jogging around the track or riding along the roads. It's a really beautiful place to get your exercise in while still being able to spot the CBD on the skyline.

Preston in Detail - Day 29
The Sun sets, casting golden light onto the side of Cramers Hotel.

I imagine there's going to be quite a few of these Preston in Detail photos in the 365. I love finding beauty in the shapes and colours of the everyday, but by no means find it easy - it requires a particular mood!

Garden Monster - Day 28
I've always thought these were aphids but a quick online search doesn't turn up anything similar so maybe I'm wrong?!

Anyway, I really like blue vs. green blurred background!

Night Lights - Day 27
A late night photo crossing the Maribyrnong River on my ride down to Spotswood.

TRU-MOULD, Clifton Hill - Day 26
I spotted this building a little while ago out on a ride and have been waiting for a chance to go back and grab some photos of it.

Secret Garden - Day 25
Willows overhanging the Merri Creek, north of Coburg Lake. This section of the Merri Creek Trail is quite close to the creek level, is frequently wet and occasionally floods!

Marshmallow - Day 24
Only fair to include a photo of our other bunny!

Giving Way to the Next Generation - Day 23
Very tight battle for photo-of-the-day between this one and the black and white but I just really like the colour and texture of the bricks behind this dying flower.

The Trip - Day 22
The Eastern curls lazily towards the city. A 180 degree, 7 photo panorama taken from on the Yarra Boulevard bridge.

The Red Orb Sinks - Day 21
Driving home from Bairnsdale, weary, watching the Sun sink into haze contributed to by the Gippsland fires. One of the best sunsets I ever remember seeing in Melbourne and we were driving directly into it until the Sun slipped below the horizon.

MacDeco - Day 20
Probably the best looking MacDonald's in the Southern Hemisphere!

Pentax Optio W90. Edited in GIMP.
BBQ - Day 19
Spicy Mexican Sausages from Preston Market, Mushrooms, Bashed Potatoes, Squid, Corn, Capsicum and Onion.

Dying light, BBQ, beer in hand... a great end to quite a hard week.

The Local - Day 18
I particularly like our local F&C place, Ottas Fine Seafood. The staff always recognise me and throw in a couple of extra potato cakes!

The Sun Sets on Wagga Wagga Court House - Day 17
I took the opportunity during a recent work trip to NSW to wander round the town and take a few snaps. The Wagga Wagga Court House is a stunning building incorporating a little garden square in the front (possibly an ex- hang-tree location??) and a clocktower - seriously impressive.

Tangle of Lines, Citybound - Day 16
Another busy work day and another late finish means another night/sunset shot!

Looking back towards the city on St George's Rd in Fitzroy North.

Beef Curry Don @ Don Don - Day 15
Well it's been over two weeks into the 365 Whatever and now the first food entry. I love photographing food and the processing workflow is one that is I'm quite familiar with after the 365 Food.

The Beef Curry Don at Don Don on Swanson's St. Delicious. If you've never tried Don Don, you're missing out.

Duskainbow - Day 14
That's right, I just invented a new word... A photo from the Chadstone rooftop carpark as I leave work for the day.

Rising to meet the day - Day 12
One of the very few benefits to rising at 5am for work is being around to witness photon magic such as this.

An amazingly lucky capture of the Bird of Prey silhouette right in the middle of my 5-photo panorama. (See separate photo for detail!)

The Weight of Blue - Day 11
A photo of the hills around Yan Yean / Whittlesea. Blue sky pressing down on yellow grass.

Mayven & Ramsay - Day 10
I was surprised when Google Maps told me this was Medical Supply Store! It looks like it hasn't been for quite some time.

Pentax Optio W90. Edited in GIMP.
Depicting Preception / Picking Peppers - Day 9
Preston Market, my normal haunt. An over-sharpened, grainy, tweaked reality.

Bell St Shuffle - Day 8
Bell and High Street Intersection.

Merri Creek - Day 7
Bright midday sun may not be ideal for coloured photos but it does provide a lot of contrast for Black and White!

Pentax Optio W90, in-camera Monochrome. Edited in GIMP.
Fading Fast - Day 6
Fading light and twisted branches. A sunset photo from the roof of my parents house in Hurstbridge.

Busy as a Bee - Day 5
So far this is turning out to be "365 Days of Black Borders". I must say that I am very partial to a bit of framing! At least we've got a couple of photos from different cameras... I'll have to work in some film and a phone camera photo in there somewhere!

Shot with a Pentax Optio W90, edited in GIMP.
The Machine - Day 4
Over the years of sport I've taken to naming each piece of equipment something I see fitting. For example I had a pair of yellow and black shoes called "The Hornets". Anyway, I initially was going to call the Avanti "The Wolves Teeth" on account of the gear teeth and the gaping wound they gave me on my first ride, but the bike is now more commonly referred to as either "My Wife" or "The Machine".

Pentax K20D + DA 16-45mm f/4. HDR by Photomatrix.
Strata - Day 3
Two narrow panoramas in a row! Perhaps I'll have a square photo for tomorrow.

Shot on my Pentax Optio W90, edited in GIMP.
Nod to the Past - Day 2
A photo of the Old Boys' Home.
Brave New Future - Day 1
As another year starts, I'm starting another 365 project. This time I'm not restricting myself to a particular topic (although I reserve the right to do so at a later date!), just 365 days of The World as I see it. Much like the 365 Food I previous completed, this project opens with a modest offering. Hot Chocolate looks on cautiously but with no small amount of curiosity as I aim the K20D in his direction.
